JUMP! Jandakot owners looking forward to educating the community

JUMP! owners’ Nathan and Renae Smith, parents to two young boys, said everyone they have spoken to in the community is excited to see a swim school that offers an alternative to what is currently available.

Renae said,

JUMP! Swim Schools Jandakot is a truly different concept for the region. We focus on meeting customer demands that are not met by other swim schools in the area.

“We want to work with the community to ensure all children can learn to swim in a safe environment that feels inviting when they walk in. I want our swimmers to feel excited when they come to swimming.

“I want to educate the community that learning to swim is not only a fun activity but a skill for life.”

Ms Smith said it was parenthood that led to the decision to open the specialised swimming facility for children.

When I was pregnant with my son Hunter, I was so excited to take him swimming, however I could not find a swim school that suited all of our needs and wants.

With JUMP!, we love that our boys can be involved with the business. We want them to come to the facility and know the other children’s names and play with them.”

As a swim teacher and former competitive swimmer, Renae pursued her passion with her two little ones in mind.

Nothing puts a smile on my face more than when a little swimmer who has been hesitant to get into the water builds up the confidence to overcome their fear.

It sounds cliché but if I can save just one child’s life by teaching them how to swim and providing a facility they can feel comfortable to learn in means I have done my job.”

The JUMP! Swim Schools Jandakot open day will run from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, October 21, and will include free face painting, art and craftcompetitions and prize giveawaysand tours of the brand new facility.

JUMP! Swim Schools Jandakot is at 1/43 Biscayne Way.
