Past JUMP! employee opens first Brazil swim school

JUMP! Swim Schools Moema opened its doors on Saturday 4 March, making it our first swim school to hit South American waters.

The Open Day was full of laughter with children and parents taking part in face and body painting, a free sausage sizzle and cake. JUMP! Moema offered Mums and Dads a special enrolment discount on the day too.

Brazil is the latest country to secure franchise rights to JUMP! following November’s opening of our swim school in Singapore. Construction is also underway for schools in Papamoa and Albany, New Zealand.

Ian Campbell, father-of-three and JUMP!’s founder says,

“Children in Brazil will now be able reap the benefits of JUMP! Swim Schools’ tailored, highly-personalised program delivered in a fun and safe state-of-the-art swimming facility. It is the perfect environment for boosting the confidence in young swimmers.”

JUMP! Swim Schools Moema franchisee is 27-year-old Brazilian national Fernanda Bernardi, a registered architect who studied project management in Australia and worked for a year designing our swim school facilities at the Gold Coast headquarters.

After seeing the exponential growth of the franchise in the Australian market firsthand, upon her return to Brazil, Fernanda was driven to address the region’s lack of specialised children’s learn-to-swim facilities.

She says,

“Brazilians and Australians share the same love of the water and beach lifestyle. Although Brazil may have many swimming facilities, there is a real lack of specialised swim schools for babies and young children. This is the same gap Australia had before JUMP! Swim Schools exploded into the market.

“JUMP! Moema is a fun, family-friendly boutique facility that is all about providing the very best learning experience for every child that walks through our door.”

The Brazilian site is in Moema, an upscale neighbourhood in Sao Paulo city known for its outstanding infrastructure, services, restaurants and proximity to iconic Ibirapuera Park. Fernanda says she has been inundated with enquiries since word got out of the swim school opening.

“We have water heated to 32 degrees year-round and a system that exceeds regulated cleanliness and hygiene standards.

“Our swimming teachers are expert in teaching babies from three months of age and just two classes are run simultaneously with numbers are capped at six per class for babies and four per class for independent swimmers.”

JUMP!’s family-friendly approach fosters close relationships with owners, teachers, children and parents making for a familiar and safe environment, perfect for boosting the confidence in young swimmers.

JUMP! Swim Schools Moema is located at Rua Periquito, 108 – Moema, São Paulo. Give them a follow on their Facebook Page to see what they’re up to.
